Oval orange is an ancient variety of late blonde orange that is highly valued for its organoleptic characteristics.
The fruit is suitable for many uses: as a table fruit, for juicing, and in the preparation of jam, candied fruit, and in confectionery in general.
The skin is thin, yellow-orange in color, tending to golden.
The flesh is full-bodied and light orange in color, with a sweet and pleasant taste, very juicy and almost seedless.
It contains citric acid, vitamins (especially C, but also A, B1, B2 and PP) and minerals.
